You've given the trolls chance after chance after chance. Some hoity-toity intellectual writes a thinkpiece saying if you fight back, you'll embarrass yourself. What are you gonna do? Concern yourself with public perception as it knit-picks at what you should or shouldn't have behaved in defending yourself? Or go for it and shut down falsehood attacks designed to undercut who you are, what you've said, and to an end where your reputation/livelihood are compromised.
