Gaming Minecraft minecraft redstone mud farm

My current nether tree farm is ugly and in the way. I want to move it
inside my castle. As part of that, I want to do build a fully
automated mud farm. I've never built one before and it seems like a
good challenge. I even got around to adding the nether tree farms.

Honestly, I was worried that it was going to be beyond my skill. I
managed to get something working but I'm not sure it was worth the
effort. It's pretty slow but it gives me a fair amount of oak logs on
top of the small amount of mud.
