Critiquing Halloween 2018 - Inconsistent Power Dynamics

Establish the rules of the game. Yep, the rules of the universe. I think this is true for all movies. We have to understand what the rules are. One of the reasons why I hated Halloween 2018 so much is they established how powerful Michael Myers was, even as an old man. We saw him as an old man, and he was still extremely powerful. Those first few kills, when he went to the mechanics garage, the auto garage, and tore those guys apart, like literally punched the one guy in the mouth, knocked out his teeth, ripped down his jaw, and took his teeth out. And then he ended up dropping it in the stall in the bathroom, the teeth. And then over by the bus, he grabbed that one guy's neck and pulled it, yanked it back to the point where it broke the guy's neck. Badly. Backwards. I mean, and plus he decimated just everybody. And the cop even said, run, right? It's the only word he could get out of his mouth is run to the kid. And so he was set up as a mega power, a superpower, let's just say. At force, he was a bulldozer. But then, in the climax of the movie, he is playing patty cake with Laurie Strode.
