Okay, so we're still talking about the video game violence. I went through in the first part what I'm going in with, and I think it's pretty fucking sound. Come at me. Tell me I'm wrong. You know, our old selves, and I mean hundreds, thousands of years old, we lived a violent life all the time, us men, all day, every day. And now we're soft and cushy and pencil pushers, me included. There are some that are out and live a rough and tumble life, but even those rough and tumble lives are a lot softer than they used to be. So the simulated violence is kind of our genetic need for that stuff because violence was built in us and for survival reasons. So we need it. And this is just our cope with our soft lives.

Kepler imagined the Moon as a populated world with an atmosphere and exotic life. He reasoned that the near side of the Moon, which always faces the Earth, is a temperate land, warmed and illuminated during the lunar nights by sunlight reflected from the Earth. But the far side of the moon, which never sees the earth and only sees the sun for two weeks every month, is in turns a scorching desert and a landscape of ice riven by storms, its inhabitants alternately oppressed by the burning rays of the sun and the freezing night of empty space.

But okay, so here we go. I want you to take a look at the first two and zoom in on that. Focus in on that. That's a big deal. Jaws and The Exorcist are way out in front at a billion plus dollars. That is adjusted for inflation. So if those movies were released today and they were as popular today as they were then, then Jaws would have made $1.4 billion. Exorcist would have made $1.3 billion. That's just domestic. That's US and Canada. To understate, you cannot overstate how ginormous those two movies are. Especially in horror.

It's one of the things that I hated about Halloween 2018. I'll tell you right now. Michael Myers was set up to be a force to be reckoned with. The bus scene where he killed all those people brutally with his bare hands. Right? And then when he went to go get his mechanics uniform, you see that guy? His jaw was ripped downward and his teeth were ripped out. So Michael Myers is a gigantic force of nature. And then in the climax of the movie... He literally has a hand-to-hand combat with Laurie Strode. Are you kidding me?

Yes, there are 52 current Amityville movies. Yes, I even watched that one. Actually, most of them are pretty fun. It wasn't really torture. No, I am not mentally stable. Good. Let's dive in.

In that regard, do you feel that being an independent developer allows you to create and take more risks than you could under a bigger group? If so, how is that important when it comes to creating horror games, a niche in the industry? The most memorable titles have been those which work with their own boundaries, where storytellers were trying to create something completely unorthodox. I guess a lot of publishers and companies would rather play it safe so they would secure their income making their products a bit more by the book, and frankly a bit dull.

In Act 1, he just gets everything he wants. The junkie gets all the junk and a little bit of food and, you know, waste disposal and all the rest of it. Act 2, and it could be a short, could be a feature, whatever. Depends on talent. Each act could be only three minutes long. In Act 2... He's given a baby, and now he has to deal with, or she has to deal with being a junkie and taking care of a baby. And then in the third act, it's they have to decide between... Either the baby or their junk. A second drawer opens up and it's impossible to get to both. Somebody's watching. There's a camera outside watching what's happening. And they can only either provide for their own junkie habits or the baby. One or the other. They have to decide. So that's the movie.

When writing horror, it is important to remember your audience. Who are you trying to scare? Horror stories can be tailored for different audiences, and knowing who your target market is will help you focus your story on what will frighten them the most. If you are writing horror stories for adults, then you can use more graphic images and language. However, if you are writing for children or young adults, you will need to be careful with the level of violence and gore that you include in your story. Remember that writing horror is all about scaring people, so make sure that whatever fears or anxieties you tap into are ones that will resonate with your target audience.

Good concept for a movie. Well, there you go. You and AI could make that movie. Write the treatment. you know just film it just do it quit saying that you can't do things and just do them that's my suggestion forget about the whole I can't do it and just do it

By the late 1990s, the golden age of British horror cinema was long gone, but like all the best monsters, the genre has risen from the grave and in the 21st century is going from strength to strength. Developments in video technology and changes in distribution have seen a tenfold increase in the number of British horror films made and released each year. From major studio pictures like 28 Days Later and Shaun of the Dead to cult indies like Freak Out and The Last Whore Movie, the new millennium is a boom time for homegrown horror.

Yeah, they've been working on this commie green, green communism for a long time. When I was a kid in school, they were teaching us about acid rain, whatever happened to acid rain, right? Acid rain was the big thing and the ozone. We're tearing apart the ozone. You can't use hairspray anymore or aerosol cans because you got to protect the ozone. I'm telling you, it's all gobbly gook.

The Shining, the fact that they had some ESP stuff going on was kind of like a side thing It wasn't the main thing. Anyway. That's the problem with a lot of this new stuff today. I don't want it fucking with my memories of the great work. So I'm just going to skip it. I'll be honest with you. I really wish I never saw The Force Awakens. I could take the prequels. They weren't good, but they weren't god-awful bad. But I really wish I wouldn't have seen The Force Awakens. I don't want to see any Star Wars. Because all it does is chew away at my love for the first trilogy. Really, that's all the Star Wars you need is one, two, three. or 456, whatever you want to call it.

Know that the evils we don't see are scarier than ones we can. The human imagination will almost always conjure up a scarier image than you can show on the screen. Why? Because each person will fill in the images that scare them the most. This is why, in the beginnings of most horror movies, you only get fleeting glimpses of the evil that is lurking in the corners. You might see the aftermath of a murder, or the moment right before the death, leaving you to fill in the blanks yourself. Horror is about fear of the unknown.

It's the same thing with mincemeat. I couldn't believe mincemeat pie. It grossed me out to no end. And until later on, I tried it and I was like, this doesn't taste like meat at all. And there's like, there's no meat in mincemeat pie. It's just a name. It looks like meat. So they called it mincemeat. It's raisins.

how you guys feel about the comic book heroes the comic book everybody keeps coming back it's like we just had Deadpool and Wolverine well Wolverine is supposedly dead but they brought him back because of money you know so it's kind of like horror it was kind of exclusive to horror and I liked it that way where when people, well, they bring back the killer. The people that the killer killed stay dead, but the star of the film... stayed or kept coming back. But now the comic book movies are the same thing. And I guess in the comics, there was different times when Superman would die and then come back and all these different types of things. But I'm not a big fan of this. Because the problem with bringing your characters back... is the next time you kill them we don't take it seriously we don't take death of your main characters seriously anymore because we can't because we know that you'll just bring them back because money so to me that lessens the experience like when your character dies I'd like to see them stay dead. I'll give you the best example in horror is The Devil's Rejects. At the end of The Devil's Rejects, spoiler alert, plug your ears if you don't want to hear the spoiler for The Devil's Rejects, but at the end of... The devil's reject, everybody dies and, uh, or all the main characters die in a fantastic scene. It's beautiful. I loved it. It was really, really great. Perfect ending to that movie. But then money says that they all had to survive and they all come back for three from hell. I have not seen that movie and I don't even really want to. And I don't want to because they're all dead. They're supposed to be dead.

The way I think of, I have thought, I've summarized sort of streaming is it's two things at the same time. One, it's like you're on stage at a theater. So you're performing. You're live performing live. So you're a live performer, kind of like you're on stage at a theater. And you're also customer service. So you know that customer service. So you need to treat your viewers with decency and respect, like customer service. So it's kind of like those two jobs combined into one. customer service and you're on a live stage at, you know, kind of combined that's how I sort of view it and if you were doing customer service you wouldn't be cussing.

And you know that shopping at Walmart and Amazon and McDonald's, you know that that's not a good idea somewhere, right? We all know that these are kind of big evil corporations, but we keep going back to them. And Microsoft and Apple and Amazon, whoever else I do it myself too. It's impossible to live in this world and not be a part of it, at least in some way, but we need to try. We need to try to depower them and empower us each other. And that's what making your money smaller. That's what the horror stream live is all about in this one little tiny little way.

But if you think they finish the job sucking out our eyeballs and chewing on your forearm even after you've died, then zombies do at least eat the newly deceased. This may seem like a small point, but it could mean the difference between real hope for civilization's survival and total world collapse. If zombies continue feeding on the dead, then they are effectively destroying their own reinforcements. A person with a deadly bite may rise up to become a zombie himself, but a body that has been chewed down to nothing won't be physically able to stand and search out new victims. Zombies could quite literally eat themselves out of existence. Our hope is that they have really big appetites and don't know when to say when.

What would you do if you had a day with no consequences? I would do what she does. I mean, I would start by eating. I think I would just eat and eat and eat everything I want. I would take out the current administration. That's a great answer.

So to me, that's good. You know, people that complain about AI, people used to complain about computers too. Oh, the computer is going to steal my job or even the camera. All the painters at the time said, oh, the camera is going to destroy art. It's going to destroy my livelihood. But there's still painters even to this day.

There's only so many licenses that I, uh, from creative commons that I could use. And, uh, Yes, this one leans a little bit towards our current paradigm, but only a little bit. It's mostly, it's like 95% the libertarian philosophy on intellectual property.

This might have concerned me a while back, but I now understand that there are ways to write horror or darker fiction using a much shorter creative form, microfiction. Honestly, I did not think it was possible for anyone to create a work of so few words that could successfully scare me or at the minimum make me feel deeply uncomfortable until I picked up the book Tiny Nightmares, Very Short Stories of Horror, edited by Lincoln Mitchell and Natsili Nyadokatapult, 2020. Reading that book helped to plant the seed in my mind of how the right tiny group of words could have the effect of deeply unsettling a reader.

Welcome back to the HorrorStream Live. The real HorrorStream is America right now. I know. I know. It's sad, but we're all going through it. And... I can't help but think that... To be sort of blackpilled on it. I guess on a big scale, I'm blackpilled. But on a small and individual scale, I'm whitepilled. If we can give these animals a good life and then kill them and eat them, then I think that's the solution. Be gentle and kind and nice to the animals as much as you can be. Look at this artwork. Well, there you have it. If they finish off an entire body, then, of course, they eat dead bodies because... the person is dead before they would finish eating them of course now I, on the other hand, will never, ever draw the blood after death. As soon as the heart stops beating, I stop drinking. And when I want to make another vampire, which I haven't done yet. I don't know why, but I haven't done that yet. Um... There's a very special, just before the death, almost at death, I can stop and then they will turn into a vampire. But I'm always so hungry. Gary has no food around the house. He's forbidden me from eating any of his roommates. And I just want to eat. I don't care about making other vampires. Besides, vampires usually... The ones that I've met, anyway, don't really like me. I don't know why, but they don't really like me, so fuck them.

More than 40 years since the first horror game hit arcades, the genre is still going strong. Why? For the same reasons that people still watch horror movies today. They are fun, and on a deeper level, they tap into our shared fears about death and the unknown. Scary titles have been around since the birth of the video game industry. We thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the most notable retro horror titles.

So when you talk about movie, you know, like little bits and ins and outs of movie making, that goes over my head. Yeah, I'm just the regular guy. Know what I like, know what I don't like. And here's another thing about quality of stuff. This is horror. Sometimes the shittiest, crappiest friggin horror stuff. I just love.

You didn't really expect anyone to, did you, Miss Millett? Why not? It's the truth. Honey, a prehistoric monster is a rather large order to swallow. Dad, I didn't say he was a monster. He was a giant. You know, a caveman. Club and all, eh? Yes. What my daughter saw, she saw. Now let's just let it go at that. Okay. But if you see her giant again, let me know in time to take some pictures. She will. Dad, you don't believe me either. Roxy, of course I believe you. I believe you saw something. Well, I saw a giant. A prehistoric giant. How about it, Tom? What did you see? Like I told you, Mr. Miller. I wasn't there until afterwards. Tommy Nelson. I know what I saw. Sure, Roxy, but I mean giants. There were giants. The Bible says so. Yes, it does. In the book of Genesis. Something about in those days, giants walked the earth.

Yeah, it's kind of a hangout stream game. Yeah, exactly. And that's what they do. They hang out and chat, and they play some games. It's like a super chill game that they can just have on while they're hanging out. It's almost like an excuse to just hang out. This is one thing that I like about streaming and stuff like that is we're getting together and chatting and hanging out. And I really think that we miss that, unfortunately, a little bit too much in real life. We're getting more and more isolated. So if we can be social here, that's a good start. And hopefully here moves into the real life. Some way, somehow.

Hello and thank you for having me back on your lovely podcast. I don't know why you keep having me on. I'm guessing it's because you have no one else who wants to do your podcast. You know, I have very, very important things to do, but... If I'm staying here, I've been told that I have to do some segments on the horror stream live. Okay. And okay, I push this button. This is from the Zombie Research Society. Oh, God, of course, it's a zombie segment that you want me to do. I'm a vampire, not a zombie. Yes, I am undead, and the zombies are undead, but zombies are completely inferior to vampires.

The television ghost celebrated its 85th anniversary last year. Even I didn't mark the occasion. Few people realize television existed in 1931. W2XAB broadcast many programs, not just the television ghost. Nothing survives. There are no scripts, no audio recordings, nothing. The fact that a picture of the ghost exists is remarkable. Perhaps there are additional promotional photographs somewhere waiting for an intrepid early television enthusiast to uncover them. There you have it, folks. Much of the very origins of television and so on is just gone. Even in film, it's oftentimes gone and lost forever. So there you go. Tales of Lost TV, the television ghost from 1931 to 1933. So if anybody asks you what was the very first horror TV show, this just may very well be it. But you can't prove it to them because it doesn't exist or you can't show it to them anyway. So there you go, the television ghost from 1931 to 1933.

But I decided this year that they could maybe bring a little spice to the podcast by being in it. So I told them that they got to do a segment every once in a while. That puppet, I haven't told him yet. or that thing that you think is a puppet, is actually one of Doctor's failed clones. I don't want to say any more about that. And 1487 doesn't know about this yet. So I think... think it's it's getting to be about time that he found out who he truly is and how he came about but yeah he's he's an experiment he's a clone made by doctor and yeah doctor was not happy with him so He wanted to dispose of him just like all the others. And I refused. I said no. I think the reason Dr. wanted to get rid of him was kind of sucky. So I said no, he's going to stay. And so now I have sort of taken him in.

There's an old native saying... or at least they say it's a native saying, that every man has two wolves inside of him and they fight. Which one wins? And he would ask you which, the good wolf or the bad wolf, which one wins? in this fight and you would say, Oh, I don't know. Or you'd guess one. And then the master teacher or whatever would say the one you feed. So if you feed the negative wolf, then it will win. If you feed the positive wolf or the good wolf, then it will win.

Why is he named Eddie? Eddie the Head, or if you're from London, Eddie the Eid, as the accent has it. It has also been suggested that the name came about from a popular British joke about a baby born with only a head and a promise made by a doctor to supply him with a body once he turns five years old. Nicknamed Eddie the Eid, resting on the mantle, Dad makes a special birthday announcement about a surprise for Eddie, who hopes it isn't another hat. Brits are known for their deeply dry sense of cheeky humour and being big fans of Monty Python. Iron Maiden are no exception. Oh, that's pretty fucking dry. I don't get it, but that's alright. Maybe I'm not supposed to get it. Because I'm American.

Stop being so negative about everything. And every time I brought up something positive... he would always just try to change the subject and always just try to kick it to the curb or ignore it. And then just go on with the, with the negative stuff. And I'm like, Hey, you know, there's a time to fight the, you know, the system and what's bad and stuff like that. But there's also a time to, to smile and chill and, and enjoy and, and, and stuff like that. So, um, You just, I, one of the, okay. So if you, if you think like me, that the people that are running the world are evil and they're, they do evil things. Um, one of the things that they would want us, um, to feel is despair. So that's why I don't do it. Whenever I need a pick me up, I take a walk. I take a walk through nature and I'll tell you that sorts me right out. Um, and yeah. Take a walk along the river. Just watch the birds and the ducks. Maybe I'll even get into the river and watch the fish do their thing. Life tends to balance out. There is negative stuff and positive stuff.

This movie is very much addressing some of those old conspiracy theory ideas head-on. Things such as Hollywood elites and their secret societies. And the concept of celebrities selling their soul and making sacrifices in order to become more famous. I was not expecting any of that at all going in. And as the film goes on, and we get closer and closer to that finale, things started to get more and more clear. And it made me start to think, is this one of those movies where I'm going to gain more and more appreciation for it the more times that I watch it?

Well, the answer is good parenting. And welfare destroyed good parenting. So it's the government's fault. Welfare destroyed the family. And destroyed families are creating this insanity. Shit families are creating this. That's, I would say, my biggest concern. Number one thing, I'm not saying it's everything. An intact family could, can be bad as well. But these women just using welfare as a career choice, just having kids for, for money and stuff, those kids figure it out. And sometimes those women by themselves are terrible. I've seen it with my own eyes. Like, I mean, insanely terrible. And their kids are just welfare checks. So when you have that type of neglect and BS going on in your life, you become an insane person at the end of it. And then, you know, a homeless junkie. There's a lot of ways that the government... That's why I'm libertarian.

This movie kind of got panned because of how great the previous one was. But I really liked it. And this was a really good scene. I liked it. I liked it a lot. I liked this whole movie. Now, it wasn't as good as Mad Max. The Road Warrior. But I haven't seen the next two. Sorry, I did see Furiosa. But I was like, oh my God. That is an example. I think it might be the best example of a good movie that is complete commie propaganda. It was feminist from A to Z. On every single layer of the onion of that movie was all feminism. It was such extreme feminism that it was unbelievable. But on top of it, it was also a good movie, which is kind of weird or whatever.

A whole in-depth look. Now, I love these things. And if you've noticed my video output, I'm also outputting video of I'm taking out my conventions and film festival advertisement and making them their own video so um that is upcoming horror conventions upcoming horror uh film festivals because we as a planet need to get out of the house more and socialize more we're getting too caught in our own little bubbles. And that to me is a really bad idea. So, um, this is why I, I heavily promote the conventions and the film festivals so we can get off our duffs and get out there and socialize and move and groove and, and hang out.

I still say I'd rather watch a shitty old movie than any woke-tardian crap of today. I'm just so sick of it. I'm telling you... I'm actually into the movie. Maybe it's just in awe and silliness or something along those lines with this like a crappy old movie. But today, the movies make me mad. Hey. Thank you. Thank you, Mark. Yeah, today the movies are making me mad. And that's not what's supposed to happen. Like, you really shouldn't be making people angry when you're watching a movie, but just all the woke crap, communism, socialism, all that, blah, blah, blah. I just can't stand it.

Now, do I have any news this week? I have some really big news. The Horror Stream Live has been my number one priority for, well, this is going on four years now. and it's no longer going to be my number one priority. I know for those who love it: sad, sad, sad but life gets in the way, making money gets in the way. I was hoping for a miracle for season four and the miracle didn't happen. I was holding out. I didn't really expect it, but I was crossing my fingers and hoping it might and it didn't. So it's going to be taking a backseat to regular standard employment. So I haven't found that yet. While to its core Phantasm depicts a tale of brotherly bonding between protagonist Mike and Jodie as they battle with an evil undertaker, the 71 six-pack Cuda steals the spotlight. Fat cracker mags, old-school flush wheel flares, and look at that rake. The car exudes muscle and drips day-two nostalgia. With its iconic 70s street-machine styling, the legendary Phantasm Cuda has earned a notoriety that nearly supersedes the films themselves. The Phantasm series received a total of five flicks so far, with each sequel becoming more and more cheesy, but each movie car cuta becoming more and more badass. Growing up with his eyes glued to that murdered-out cuta, Reddy knew someday he would build himself one just like it.

I think we could change our hellish times whenever we want to. And it's super easy to change it. Make your money smaller. Support small, small, small, small everything. If you change your life to small everything, then that's the solution. And by the way, everybody can get behind that solution. The commies, the Nazis, the liberals, the conservatives, the enviro people. Everybody can get behind making your money smaller, just supporting small, supporting local, supporting indie, all of it, all of it, all of it. That to me is the solution.

So, in the original Evil Dead, the Kandarian demon was that just unseen, fast moving camera angle with the groaning and the grunts. And I guess maybe in the beginning that it sort of was the red lights raising up the leaves. I'm surprised I remember all that, but I just love that movie so much. It wasn't until much afterwards that they actually showed it. I'm not a fan of it being shown, but I guess I understand why they did it. They needed to expand.

You have to be so bloody careful. And by the way, everything is copyright infringement. This is why I don't really pay too much attention to... Well... Blatant copyright infringement, I won't do here. We're not going to watch Alien or Halloween or Friday the 13th here. We're just not going to do that. But technically, everything is copyright infringement. I can't even show a trailer. I need literal permission to do anything and everything. And if you really look into this, everything is copyright infringement. Absolutely everything. You can't show anything. Which is crazy. And it's retarded. And so that's why I have some type of... That's where I'm at where I'm at.

But in addition to just promoting Gamer Girl because she would want me to or just because she's small Indian horror. I don't know if she wants me to do this or not, but I'm doing it anyway. But I actually consume her content. I really... I go to her channel and watch it and I enjoy it. Now, what is special about her? Well, obviously, take a look at these games. Lots of days gone recently. But it's all horror. Mortuary Assistant. The Callisto Protocol. Dead Island so she's a horror gamer so that is obviously of interest to me it's newer games which as long as it's horror I'm into new games and she is really really good at managing the chat talking to chat She also, she kind of seems like a friend. Once you, you know, pull up a seat in her chat and it's like she gets to know each person in the chat and she's extraordinarily talented with this.
