ISAIAH 27 - Elohim (God) is not at odds with man; man is at odds with HIM. 8.2.24 Sabbath Study

Isa 27:4 "I have no wrath. Should someone give Me briars and thorns in battle, Then I would step on them, I would burn them completely.

Isa 27:5 "Or let him rely on My protection, Let him make peace with Me, Let him make peace with Me."

Elohim is not the one who is at odds with man. Man is is at odds with Him. Man sets briars and thorns against Him. Elohim's grace is available to those who will make peace with Him and obey His ways.

This chapter concludes this section of Isaiah that refers to the Day of the Elohim. It starts out describing the punishment of Leviathan.

Isa 27:1 In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

The identity of Leviathan is not difficult to determine. The Leviathan is Satan.

(Rev 12:3,9 13:1-4).

This verse should not be the first verse of chapter 27. It should be the concluding verse in chapter 26.

(Isa 26:20-27:1).

Verse 2 starts a passage with a different thought.

Isa 27:2 In that day, "A vineyard of wine, sing of it!

Isa 27:3 "I, the LORD, am its keeper; I water it every moment. Lest anyone damage it, I guard it night and day.

Verse 2 should be the start of chapter 27. This passage starts a new subject which is a song of joy. Here Elohim speaks of a vineyard. We know from an earlier passage in Isaiah that the vineyard is the whole house of Israel.

(Isaiah 5:1-7).

In parables told of by Yeshua, there was a vineyard that the owner had left in charge of others.
