Enormous python found outside family's home in India

A massive python sparked panic after it was found lurking outside a family's home in India. Footage shows reptile catchers handling the 15ft beast lying in the tall grass near a house in Hapur City, Uttar Pradesh state, on September 6. The family called the local forestry department, which arrived to drag the python away. It was freed into a jungle far from the residential area. The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes
