Back on Top (Short) | Terry Dan

The idea of recording a country blues album seemed like an open invitation to record an outright blues song. Timing being what it is, I had just done something that got me in big trouble with my wife. I won't tell you what it was, but I used "cards and gin" in the song. My brother, David, a great piano player is with me on this song. We have a background of playing blues and jazz together when we were growing up. Writing and producing "Back On Top" was fun, nostalgic and cathartic, and is a positive song about turning things around.
