Gigantor (1963)

Gigantor is a 1963 Japanese animated series originally titled Tetsujin 28-go. It was one of the earliest mecha (giant robot) anime series and is considered a classic. Created by manga artist Mitsuteru Yokoyama, the story revolves around a boy named Shotaro Kaneda, who controls a giant robot, Tetsujin 28, built during World War II as a secret weapon.

The series was dubbed into English and aired in the U.S. as Gigantor in the 1960s, where it became quite popular. The English version kept the basic premise but localized some elements to make it more suitable for American audiences.
