Owen Started his career with The Royal Westminster Regiment, a Primary Reserve infantry unit in British Columbia, Canada. Owen did a tour to Afghanistan in 2007 on Roto 3.

Earning The Rank of Sgt before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force as a pilot who has earned his wings and has been posted to 440 Sqn in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and is awaiting his training on the Twin Otter aircraft.
