DO YOU EVER FEEL LIKE SAYING “Fuck The Gatekeepers” Abstract Expressionist Oil Painting 16x20

Good day there friend. I had seen this video on Instagram from I am guessing an artist. Talking about the 5 reasons you are not an artist. 1 of those reasons was because “you don't know art history” which to me is kind of stupid thing to say. Now in order for me to create art I have to take class that doesn't teach me anything about creating art just talks about a bunch of dead artists. I get the idea to know who came before you but that doesn't make you an artist. Just like passing the A+ exam doesn't mean you can troubleshoot the internet. What makes you an artist is creating art. No matter what kind of art it is the act of doing it is what makes you an artist. This person is just another gatekeeper that wants to keep people from getting into the game because they are afraid of competition. This person only complains about how some artist got a grant and colored in crayon up and down the stairs on this big piece of paper, or someone sold a bed for 4 million dollars as a “concept” piece. To me it sounds like he is jealous that he wasted 200k dollars on a liberal arts degree that he could have gotten by just creating art and watching youtube videos. Go out there and create art and make this guy hate you because you did it. that is the art. If you read all of that you really should follow this channel and like this video.
