A speaker discusses the significance of basic education and the balance between pursuing dreams and accepting reality.
[80:26-80:50]
The speaker emphasizes the necessity of a high school diploma and encourages ongoing self-education while acknowledging that not everyone may achieve their dreams.
That is the least a person ever needs to have in their life. But then on the other side, you need to continue to educate yourself and do things that you want to do. I mean, honestly, you know, that being said, I don't think everybody is meant to do and follow through with their dreams. And that sounds horrible to say that. But the reality is it's okay to have a dream. Like, you know, I had a dream once when I was a kid.
[80:51-81:01]
The speaker reflects on childhood dreams, specifically their own wish to become an astronaut, while recognizing that some dreams may remain unattainable.
I wanted to be an astronaut. I'm obviously not an astronaut. But sometimes dreams are just dreams. I feel like that's like the standard kid dream.
