How Did You Start Shooting CMP Matches? - Interviews at the National Matches

We went around the 2024 CMP National Matches to ask people how they got into the sport.

Though the answers were varied and deeply personal, they shared a few common themes:

- The community has been helpful at all levels. At the end of the day, competitors are there to do better than themselves, and this leads everyone to help each competitor be the best they can be
- If you ask for help, you'll get it
- There's a difference in size between local and national matches, but a similar community

Whether competitors start from a military background, police, or just hearing old stories, they inevitably find themselves enjoying the matches.
