HERE'S MY INTERPRETATION OF MT.ZION / NEW JERUSALEM
It arrives, like a "mothership" after the Great Tribulation ends
Those who earned the reward as THE BRIDE, already resurrected and rapture will reside within. THE TEMPLE CITY will hover above the Earth, extending from the Nile to the Euphrates and the WALLS will touch the Earth, blocking passage to those fleshly surviors on the outside, in the darkness. They will be permitted entry once per year (as only the high priest was allowed into the Holiest of Holy places once per year) on Sukkoth and be expected to attend. If not enough attend, their land will suffer from drought and poor weather. Upon that area of Earth, paradise ("Eden") will be restored and all of those who have NOT had a chance to seek the face of Yah (the living Word of truth) will also be given a chance to learn and live righteously (in paradise, but not allow into the Temple).
Near the END of Messiah's "almost 1,000 year reign", the satan will be released for a final short season of testing those in paradise. AFTER Messiah's defeat of the enemy and reign and the final Judgement of those risen from the SECOND RESURRECTION, ZyΩn will depart and carry those saved to the new place prepared just for them. This is partially THEORY. Tell me if you believe I am wrong and WHY!

NOTE: Messiah was conceived on a winter solstice, then was born in a
sukka(h) (tent - singular), on the first day of Sukkoth, thus he came and dwelled (sukkothed) among us!
Messiah was delivered into Roman hands on the Day of Preparation for
Passover, chastised and nailed to a cross, died on Passover day and arose
on a Sabbath Day. (Hebrew days begin at evening.)
The day of preparation started and took place at evening, with the "last supper", when Messiah broke bread and supped wine with his disciples.
(Using english and pagan named days of the week; Wednesday at sunset,
to Thursday sunset to Friday sunset, he arose early with dawn on Saturday.)
