Baptism: A History

In this episode we will survey a history of water baptism in order to attempt to better discern its original design with regards to the gospel – the extent to which the spiritual aspect was understood. This will begin with the pre-Jesus Jewish antecedents, move through the Gospels and Acts, then highlight key evidences in subsequent church history, arriving finally in modern times with current beliefs across the major Christian divisions.
