Curriculum director explains the importance of non-white authors

Activist Grand Haven schools curriculum director Mary Jane Evink, met with a parent who was concerned about sexually explicit age inappropriate books in the school library. Evink dismissed the parent's concerns, focused on skin-color, and explained it is important to include books in school libraries by non-white authors.
