Hutch Mansell sits bruised in an interrogation room, questioned by FBI agents about his identity. He replies that he's "nobody."

In a flashback, Hutch leads an ordinary life with his estranged wife Becca, son Blake, and daughter Abby. One night, thieves break into their home. Blake tackles one, but Hutch holds back from fighting, knowing the burglar’s gun was unloaded. Hutch's family sees him as a failure. Later, Abby mentions her kitty cat bracelet is missing, so Hutch tracks down the thieves. Realizing they were stealing for their baby's medical bills, he leaves without confrontation.

On a bus ride home, Hutch fights off a group of thugs harassing a woman, unknowingly injuring Teddy, the brother of Russian mobster Yulian Kuznetsov. Yulian sends a team to capture Hutch after discovering his identity. Hutch kills most of them but is captured. He escapes and reveals to his family that he was an "auditor," a former assassin for U.S. intelligence. He sends his family away, burns down their house to hide the dead attackers, and retrieves hidden gold and cash.

Hutch buys his father-in-law's metal factory, booby-traps it, and burns Yulian’s mob money. Despite offering peace, Yulian pursues him to the factory, where Hutch, his father, and his brother kill Yulian and his men. Hutch is released from police custody after a mysterious phone call. Three months later, Hutch and his family are buying a new house, and he receives a call suggesting more trouble ahead.

In a post-credit scene, Harry and David are shown armed in their family caravan.
