Rep. Tim Burchett says forcing a government shutdown before an election isn’t a ‘smart strategy’

Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) says Republicans would be “hammered worse than ever” by the media if Congress fails to pass a total of 12 spending bills by October 1 and shuts down the government. “This is the media that elected Joe Biden and still won’t ask him any questions when he’s at the beach. They will not go after [Democrats.] So I think we have to deal with the reality,” he says.
