It is not difficult to see the pipeline from being mentally unstable to becoming a histrionic leftist. Some studies indicate a correlation between identifying as liberal and having a diagnosed mental disorder.

But at some point, we let our most bitter members of society take control of our media, institutions and pop culture, which devolved into the idolatry of insanity. Instead of trying to treat and cure mental illnesses and communication disorders, we’ve made it cool to have one. Being meshuggeneh now makes you hip and morally superior.
