Burn: The Last Witness (part 57)

*As the rage of the High Father continues to consume the dark army of Erus, Burn tries desperate to save at least Rayne. His father falls to the fire falling from the heavens, Erus is swallowed by the very earth itself, yet Rayne keeps running and so does Burn. They are almost to each other, Burn so close to taking Rayne and yanking him to safety, when Rayne plummets. Horrified, Burn can only watch as Rayne falls into a forever darkness yet as Rayne falls a sudden shock occurs. An aura of strong green surrounds him, like a protective emerald shield sent to make sure he is not harmed, a cover that doesn't stop Rayne from falling yet does leave a trace behind. It is a tether of green that races through the chasm of dark and for some reason reminds Burn of the Blood Empress and the green she always wore. But Burn shakes away that thought as he notices another wonder, all that green...whatever it is
