Indian Immigrant flight student purposely damages planes in temper tantrum

STUART — A 23-year-old student attending a flight school at Witham Field Airport vandalized 10 planes at the facility Monday, according to Martin County Sheriff’s officials.

The student broke internal instruments on the planes and the damage could have been "a recipe for disaster" if the aircraft took flight, Chief Deputy John Budensiek said Tuesday.

Sheriff’s investigators said they arrested Sumebh Singh, a student from India, in connection to the incident
