At his arraignment on February 9, Fagan pleaded “not guilty,” and Lead Special Trial Prosecutor Rear Admiral Johnathon T. Stephens scheduled his tribunal for April 28. In opening statements, Adm. Stephens told military panelists—three decorated Navy officers—that the United States government had irrefutable evidence of Fagen’s guilt, while the transexual’s attorney played the trans card, saying that President Trump fired Fagan and had him arrested, not because Fagan committed crimes but because Trump had an innate, irrational fear of non-binary people. Over the first two hours, Adm. Stephens summoned six former and current Coast Guardsmen to the witness stand—four male, two female—who had worked in Fagan’s office between 2022 and 2024. They all testified to Fagan’s sexual depravity, describing a suffocating atmosphere of dread under which Fagan misused his authority to threaten them with demotions or dishonorable discharges if they didn’t yield to his sexual fantasies. Admiral Stephens had evidence corroborating the witnesses’ testimony. An iPad and iPhone seized from Fagan’s office held photographs of Fagan in nauseating positions with the lieutenant and a dozen other Coast Guard personnel. The devices also contained documents authored by Fagan encouraging Guardsmen to vote for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election because he, unlike Trump, championed diversity, equity, and inclusion. “Trump’s wicked, Trump’s evil.
