A 16-year-old girl died at Hennepin County Medical Center after she was struck by a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old woman who then fled the scene and was later arrested by police.

It followed a fight at the corner of 5th Street North and Hennepin Avenue, with the suspect allegedly getting into a vehicle following the fight, reversing along Hennepin Avenue before driving the wrong way on 5th Street North into the crowd.

Five other people were injured, with police saying among them was a 29-year-old woman who suffered life-threatening injuries.

The others injured include two 14-year-old girls, a 24-year-old man, and a 28-year-old man, all of whose injuries are not life threatening. The psychotic violence never ends in blue states.
