In this Chapter God sends Jacob and his family to Bethel to build an alter where God had spoken to him. The other tribes around there were afraid of them after what had happened to Haram and Schechem.
Deborah died in Bethel, then Rachel gave birth to Ben-Jamin and she died from complications of the delivery.
