In Chapter 2 Paul emphasizes that his work among them was not driven by deceit or personal gain. He didn’t care to please man, but God alone. His ministry among them was genuine and from the heart. This Chapter provides a litmus test of motives, not only for those who seek a leadership role in the church, but for ourselves. Who are you trying to please? God or man?
