The ISF bond is important as it demonstrates the seriousness and commitment of the importer or customs broker to comply with regulations, reduces scrutiny or delays by the CBP, and provides financial protection to the CBP in case of non-compliance. There are two types of ISF bonds available: single transaction bond and continuous bond.
