Prelude to A Coup: Behind the UN's "Pact for the Future"

The United Nations member states gathered in the Big Apple at the UN headquarters for what is being called the historic 'Summit of the Future.' The goal? To sign a comprehensive document known as the Pact of the Future. But what’s actually inside this pact? Is this yet another globalist effort to centralize power in the hands of unelected elites under the guise of addressing global crises, similar to the WHO's Pandemic Treaty and the WEF’s controversial Great Reset?

This pact seeks to lay the groundwork for a new era of global governance, with proposals that echo familiar themes: greater international authority over health policy, climate control measures, and financial regulation—all raising concerns about national sovereignty and the growing influence of technocratic institutions. To explore what this could mean for individual freedoms, public health, and economic sovereignty, we’re joined by Derrick Rose, investigative journalist from The Last American Vagabond, who has been covering the summit live from New York.

After our interview, early Sunday morning, the General Assembly approved the summit’s main outcome document—a 42-page Pact of the Future—with Assembly President Philémon Yang’s gavel signifying consensus. The document passed with a vote of 143-7, with 15 countries abstaining, sparking fierce debate on whether this signals a historic step forward for global cooperation or a dangerous slide toward global technocracy and elite control.

The Pact itself does not grant the UN any powers as far as we can tell but rather is the propaganda piece that they will point to when it comes time to justify measures it would like to pursue. The section on "global shocks" is relativity bland yet cuts a wide path in scope. Another item worth mentioning relates to action 38, within the "Transforming Global Governance" section, where in vanilla terms they reference being inclusive of "stakeholders" which no doubt reference non-state actions being included in decision-making and data sharing which will reduce sovereignty of the member states while empowering groups like the WEF, The Club of Rome, The Gates Foundation, and similarly situated groups.
