San Marzano tomatoes are my favorite for whole tomatoes and are a staple for Italian cooking. I have many recipes that use the San Marzano whole tomatoes so I always like to have these on hand.

Romas, San Marzano, Amish paste and even Beef Steak tomatoes are great for diced tomatoes because they are more meaty.
