Also, he leads us to the Book of Hebrews 5:14 to emphasize the importance of renewing our five senses to discern between good and evil. He makes us understand that renewing our five senses with God’s words will further guard us against fulfilling the lust of the flesh and grant us access to the gifts of salvation, which Christ paid for by his death.
