In defense of #tariffs and #protectionism

this morning on the PBD podcast the guys got it all wrong, terrace and protectionism are a good thing.

The calculation is much more complex but the net benefit of tariffs is the American worker in the United States in general.

when you calculate in the devastation that occurs with the American worker when a factory moves overseas or into Mexico are the loss of tax base and the cost of welfare and food stamps.

main reason why companies move their factories into Mexico and China is because their competition is doing it and they want to keep their CEOs salaries high and the stockholders profits up and if they have to screw over American workers too bad, so be it
