The Whole World Will Be Won By The Gospel

Will the Gospel and the Church be defeated in history before Christ returns? Are we to expect the failure of the Gospel message in the world or did Jesus teach something different? Are we to anticipate that the Kingdom of God will fill the world or will unbelievers defeat the Kingdom before Christ returns?
