The origin of the name “Young Goose” stems from an unexpected twist in the initial plan to call the company Hormesis, which was influenced by the stress-to-positive-results concept. However, when our guest, Amitay Eshel, and his business partner discovered the name was already trademarked for supplements in the United States, he embarked on the search for a unique and intriguing alternative. The Weizmann Institute, where their NAD precursor discovery occurred, featured geese outside the lab, regarded as mascots for their timeless appearance. Geese inspired the idea of maintaining youthfulness, and the word "young" was added for a more complete and engaging name. While some find it amusing, others have suggested a shorter name for simplicity in marketing, emphasizing the ongoing debate about the significance of a brand's name.
