2 Corinthians 01_Introduction, Background and Argument

Folks,

Power is out on 5-mile. For right now we are not meeting tonight. This needs to be heard and recorded.

We're starting 2 Corinthians tonight. Greek scholar C. K. Barrett said, "surely the most difficult book in the New Testament.” He meant the most difficult to interpret. The reason is because of Paul's descriptions of movement. They are either unclear or incomplete or both and it makes it very difficult to understand the historical background. For THIS reason and the fact we don't have power and can't use microphone or record so people can keep up, we are assuming we will not meet tonight. However, I will get back about 6pm with a final decision. I've attached the notes.
