Debbie Burton is an award-winning poet, and children’s author with a heart for teaching children. She began writing after she retired from teaching elementary school 2013, and has published three early reader chapter books with Elk Lake Publishing. Buddy the Beagle on Blueberry Street (2019) Return to Blueberry Street (2020) and Truckload of Trouble (2022) comprise her series entitled the Tails of Blueberry Street. Debbie lives in Orlando, Florida with her husband Herb, and their beagle, Buddy. Currently she serves as copy editor for Seasons, a creative writing magazine which features stories written by members of her retirement community.
