Savagery Parading as Western Civilization

I heard a mother trying to describe what it was like to raise children in "modern" America; she stated that children in Wild West frontier towns, surrounded by savage Indians, were safer than the children born into the twenty-first century. That statement weighed on me, and I couldn't help but try to explain the circumstances that make that statement not just accurate but damned insightful. The result was this video.
