Ancient Anasazi - Chaco Canyon

Chaco Culture National Historical Park -
is located in northwestern New Mexico, between Albuquerque and Farmington, in a remote canyon cut by the Chaco Wash.

The Anasazi -
are a mysterious ancient civilization that once inhabited the American Southwest. They lived in the area that is now known as the Four Corners region of the United States, which includes parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. Some believe the history of the Anasazi began between 6500 and 1500 BC in what is known as the Archaic period.
