Sheriff cuts 24-hour road patrol due to lack of funding.

Alpena County Sheriff’s Office says 24-hour patrol could be in jeopardy. The
county is asking voters to approve a .7051-mill tax increase that would raise about $800,000 a year. A portion of that tax revenue would help stabilize staffing at the sheriff’s office.
