Israeli Airstrike Kills Hezbollah Commander As Netanyahu Vows To Hit Using “Full Force”

An Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs on Thursday killed the head of Hezbollah's drone unit. The Israeli military stated that its fighter jets had "targeted and eliminated" Mohammed Hussain Srur, identifying him as "the commander of Hezbollah's air unit." This was the fourth attack in a week targeting Hezbollah commanders. Lebanon's health ministry reported that two people were killed in the attack and 15 were wounded. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel will continue to hit Lebanon's Hezbollah with "full force" until residents in northern Israel can safely return to their homes. Israel also rejected a push led by the United States for a 21-day ceasefire in Lebanon. Protests were held in New York against Netanyahu ahead of his speech at the United Nations.
