Alyssa Mercante is Threatening to SUE?! HUGE MELTDOWN!

Alyssa Mercante, Kotaku's Senior Editor, has stirred up major controversy yet again. In a recent post on X, Mercante, known for her involvement in various drama-filled situations, announced that she is "moving forward with legal action against several parties." This comes almost six months after her Sweet Baby Inc. (SBI) report sparked what she claims to be a "Gamergate-style harassment campaign."

Mercante, who has previously been embroiled in numerous controversies, including being doxxed, harassed, and accused of hypocrisy, stated that she’s been gathering evidence and consulting with lawyers during this period. While it's unclear who the targets of her legal action are, Mercante has hinted at a possible GoFundMe to help cover her legal expenses.

This isn’t the first time Mercante has threatened legal action. Back in May, she targeted YouTuber Smash JT, after allegedly messaging his wife, asking what she thought about her husband "harassing a woman online." Smash JT later responded to the drama, pointing out the hypocrisy in Mercante’s actions, leading to further back-and-forth between the two.

Mercante, who has faced backlash from various figures, including Malonie Mac and Grummz, remains unshaken. She has warned that anyone centering her in their content or encouraging harassment will face legal consequences. Despite her claims of being harassed, Mercante's confrontational approach has only fueled the drama surrounding her, making her a polarizing figure in the gaming community.
