So often we look at our follower list, Subscriber count, etc., and we think those are all the people in our corner. In actuality, though, there's only a tiny fraction of that number who are active, engaged, and helping you succeed. While you should try to make that number as large as possible, it's usually a good idea to hedge your bets rather than to expect a massive turn out that, at the end of the day, probably isn't coming.
