Lumen Explore the Art and Science of Light at The Getty

Now open at The Getty for PST ART – a five-month-long celebration featuring 70+ exhibitions across Southern California and over 800 artists, all exploring the theme: Art & Science Collide. This year, The Getty Center is showcasing eight PST ART exhibitions, including Graphic Design in the Middle Ages, William Blake: Visionary, The Mind's Eye: Art and Neuroscience, Photography of the Invisible, The Birth of Anatomical Art, Leonardo da Vinci and the Secrets of Nature, Time as Matter: Art and Physics, and Mapping Knowledge: Cartography and Exploration.

Don’t miss Lumen: The Art and Science of Light (September 10–December 8, 2024) at The Getty Center — a major international loan exhibition featuring over 100 works that explore how the science of light was studied by medieval Christian, Jewish, and Muslim philosophers, theologians, and artists. Two contemporary installations connected to the exhibition are Spectrum 14 by Charles Ross and Lumen by Helen Pashgian.
