SurrealPolitiks S01E076 - Wider Conflict

I saw a Fox News alert last night about about Israeli air strikes in Lebanon. 

During this, the reporter said the Biden administration was working to prevent this from becoming a wider conflict. 

Today, news breaks that Israel had struck again in Yemen as well, and just before the show, Israel has begun a ground invasion into Lebanon. 

It is certainly a fair enough point that this is not the widest the conflict could conceivably become. So, with that in mind, one can plausibly say, right up until the moment the conflict is global in scale, that they are working to prevent a wider conflict. 

But in practical terms, nothing is being done to prevent the conflict from widening.

Israel has Joe Biden promising to back their military up unconditionally. If the Israelis go in and ethnically cleanse the Palestinian territories, the Biden administration has their back. If the Israelis send spies into Lebanon to plant bombs in mobile devices, the United States will back them. If the  Israeli's attack Yemen, the United States will back them. If the Israeli government bombs Iran, the United States Government will back them. 

That's what uncondtional support means. Under no conditions, will the support cease.

Wouldn't it be if your government supported you unconditionally instead of some foreign ethnostate? 

What if American voters didn't want it?

Oh that's right, unconditional means unconditional, citizen. We are going to help those Jewish people kill those Muslim people. We are going to do this come hell or high water, wehether you like it, or not. Though of course, preferably if you dislike it intensely, but claim to like it very much because you are afraid of what they will do to you.

That is our favorite support.
