Emin Gun Sirer is arguably the most prominent professor in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Teaching computer science at Cornell since 2001, Emin was interested in cryptocurrency before bitcoin.
In 2003, with Karma, he invented proof of work. Now, he believes that there is a better solution to consensus: Avalanche.
