The Message of Salvation to All (Romans 10:5-21)

Israel rejected Jesus as Messiah and rejected the Gospel because they trusted in their own self-righteousness. The religious leaders of Jesus's day wanted to power and to control a human-based worship system. They rejected Jesus to the point that they conspired with the Romans to kill him. The people in Israel looked to the religious leaders for their own righteous standing. They were ignorant of the righteousness of God.
