Yesterday I had started exploring GIMP python-fu as a means to extract UV coordinates from layer information automatically. I had just enough time to find all the members/methods I would eventually need ... for today. Today I put that script together and it clears to way for us to rearrange things more easily and to write more automation scripts in the future such as texture packing.

With the new UVs imported from the output of the GIMP python-fu script it was time to put the bookshelf back together. It took some fiddling and experimentation to find all the right offsets, but we are back to having a bookshelf, but this time it looks like the shelf covers the parts of the books that it should.
