The News & Observer that serves Raleigh, Durham, and eastern North Carolina created this video and posted it yesterday on their TikTok page (@newsobserver). After watching it and seeing that it has been shared a lot elsewhere, I decided to share it as well in attempt to further raise awareness of what is going on in the Appalachian Mountains of eastern North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. This video focuses on one town, Marshall, North Carolina.
What you see in this video is so very sad, yet very true.
