The Introduction Of My Vaccine Indemnity Bill

Today, I introduced to the Senate a bill that truly serves all Australians. This bill is titled “Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (Vaccine Indemnity) Bill 2023.

My bill seeks to ensure indemnities are no longer granted by the Commonwealth for the use of vaccines. Granting indemnity means that our government has handed over a blank cheque to big pharma. If anything goes wrong, taxpayers foot the bill. Indemnity is not limited to covid, it has recently been granted in advance for monkeypox/smallpox and influenza vaccines.

The question of whether this bill is supported, or not, will be a test of our elected members. Do they represent the people of Australia, or will they continue to let big pharma sell harmful products without any financial consequence.
