Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has re-established contact with hostage-ceasefire deal mediators in Qatar after weeks of silence, The Daily Mail reported. Reports of Sinwar contacting Qatar came amid speculation that he might have been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza. Former Shin Bet interrogator told The Daily Mail that Sinwar was carrying 25 kg of dynamite in a video of him walking through a tunnel days after October 7, 2023. The former Shin Bet official also claimed that the Hamas chief had surrounded himself with “at least 20 hostages.”
