NOTE: I wrote this segment almost three years ago (December 2021), when first compiling the text for the Don't Ruin Your Life video series.

It was scheduled to be posted later in the series, in conjunction with other finance-related DRYL segments.

However, the economic events of the last three years have made me decide to post it now, out of sequence.

Considering our current economic conditions and the price of precious metals, you can judge for yourself whether it was -- and still is -- a good or useful suggestion.
