A Bird In The Hand

When I go out to replenish the feeders, I hear the whir of their wings all around me. I noticed them getting bolder as they have become familiar with me so I started pouring seed in my hand. They are still a bit nervous, but this week they've started landing on my hand to take the seeds. It takes patience, but so far I've had about a dozen chickadees and one nuthatch come to me. I took this video with my phone, holding it in one hand while holding out seeds in the other.
