Man Dead After Charging Officers with a Knife Outside of Business in Las Vegas.

On October 4, 2024, at approximately 9:58 a.m., LVMPD Officers responded to the 200 block of East Tropicana Avenue regarding a male and female refusing to leave a business and making threats to employees.

Upon arrival officers located the two individuals matching the description still on the business property. As officers exited their patrol vehicles, they immediately noticed that the male was agitated and armed with a knife. The male charged at the officers causing two officers to discharge their firearms striking the male. Medical was requested and transported the male to UMC where he was pronounced deceased.
