Did descendants of Atlanteans mine copper in Michigan?

Around 2500 BC, someone mined a lot of copper of Michigan. Around the same time, copper became more abundant in Europe. Who mined the Michigan Copper and where did Europe get so much copper? Could Minoan travelers have mined the copper in Michigan and brought it back to Europe?

I think the Minoan civilization have had roots in Atlantis in their past.
